The DJ Shannon Show @ The Lot Radio 9/2/26

Finally back at The Lot Radio after a really fruitful summer on the road, and I couldn’t wait to get back in the booth and play some of the tracks that have been in heavy rotation for me over the past few months.

“Feels Like Voodoo” by Africanism, The Deepshakerz, and Xander Pratt has definitely been one of my secret weapons on the dance floor. I’ve also been loving DJ MeMe’s soulful take on The Police’s “When the World Is Running Down.”

Jason B has been on repeat at home, especially his killer edit of Jill Scott’s “Pressha.”

And “Be Yourself,” the Kelvin Sylvester Extended Vocal Mix featuring Josh Milan, has been hitting differently. Josh’s vocals, the message, the energy — everything about it feels so right. It’s such an empowering anthem and the perfect way to carry the energy forward.

Which brings me to this month’s affirmation:

See it through.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, and things will work out the way they’re meant to. You just have to make it through the bumps, the detours, the trials, and the tribulations to get to that aha moment, that moment when everything suddenly clicks and all the pieces start to make sense.

Sometimes you can’t see the bigger picture while you’re in the middle of it. But give it time. Those challenges, those lessons, those moments that tested you,  they’ll all make sense eventually.

Keep going. Trust the process. See it through.
