The DJ Shannon Show @ The Lot Radio 5/13/26
The DJ Shannon Show was a blast this month. I had a great time diving into UKG, thumpin’ house music, and plenty more along the way. Riding the high from my Nowadays set earlier this month, I wanted to carry that same energy and flavor from the UGK Focus night into the opening of the show, featuring tracks from Flava D, Templeton Peck, and one of my biggest inspirations, Jeremy Sylvester.
As the set progressed, we shifted into some big, bass-heavy house music with tunes from Earl Jeffers, Darius Syrossian & Capri, and many more. It was a proper journey from start to finish.
The affirmation for this episode is: “I can’t do everything.”
For anyone stepping into a busy season, it’s important not to overload your plate to the point of burning yourself out. I almost fell into that trap myself last month and had to take a step back and slow down. So remember: take on what you can, and don’t be afraid to say no when your schedule starts looking a little too daunting. Give yourself the space and time to rest so you can show up as your best self.
