The DJ Shannon Show @ The Lot Radio 1/21/26
The first DJ Shannon Show of 2026 kicked off with a bang, serving high-energy jackin’ grooves, soulful house, chuggy acid, and a hint of electro guaranteed to get bodies moving and heads nodding. You can listen to the full episode down below and watch the full episode on The Lot Radio’s brand new website.
I opened the show with a gem I scooped up earlier this month at JADALAREIGN’s incredible Love From The Sun party: “Inamorta Dub” by Abstract Soul. This groovy future-jazz heater dropped back in 2001 on Kif Recordings and still hits just as hard. Full of soul and swing, it set the tone perfectly for Demuir’s lush collaboration with Jon Dixon, “One Is Their Actions (Dub).”
Later in the mix, we went back-to-back on some DJ Technics goodness, spinning edits from his TTE EDITS FOR BAD KNEES series, including that beautiful rework of René & Angela’s “My First Love.” From there, we locked into dancer-friendly territory with two cuts from Traxman’s incredible FBA House project, pure floor fuel.
I followed up with a slinky acid jam from Denver-based Leenie featuring Nextdimensional. “Juicy” is a fresh joint off Nextdimensional’s Starry Records, and we also squeezed in a brand-new release from Arianna Gil off of her B.C. (Boycott Music) project— strong, intentional, and impossible to ignore.
And this month’s affirmation: We are meant to work together. We need one another now more than ever. Look for ways to support the people in your life and your community. If a friend is organizing something beautiful in your city, show up for them. If there’s a fundraiser happening nearby, contribute if you can. In this divisive moment, care and collaboration matter. Find your people. Build together. Create spaces that uplift, protect, and support us all.
I had the honor of attending two parties last weekend that truly put community at the center, and they were incredible: TOSSED, run by local powerhouses Giovannii and Will Jack, and Love From The Sun (mentioned above), thrown by the incomparable JADALAREIGN. At both events, I met so many people who said they felt genuinely happy and safe to dance freely, folks craving good conversation, connection, and a place to discover new music. These spaces nourished people on a spiritual level last weekend, myself included. We’re so lucky to have gatherings like this in NYC—cherish them, protect them, and hold them close.
The full tracklist is waiting for you down below! I had a blast playing for you all. And remember, if there’s anything you want to hear on the show this year, send your recommendations to SendDJShannonMusic@gmail.com. I can’t wait to dig into them.
I’ve also created a new Instagram page for the show, where I will be sharing extended stories about the music shared, so stay locked @TheDJShannonShow.
See you next month on Feb. 18.
